As the first jazz violinist ever to attend the Eastman School of Music, and as an award-winning classical-crossover violinist and keyboardist, Mark Woodyatt continued to perfect his proficiency and abilities to convey emotion and joy soulfully and authentically on many instruments. He shines on acoustic and electric 4, 5 and 6-string violins, and is considered to be one of the great living creative masters of string-improvisation.
Woodyatt’s abilities as a multi-instrumental performer allow for him to take center stage as a soloist and bandleader, as well as a seasoned sideman, supporting the many groups he’s called to perform with. Mark’s musical abilities keep him in high demand, with a full-time workflow as a performing artist, producer, arranger, composer, and sound healer. He enjoys the company of his beautiful partner Lily, who is as much a part of the music as anything under the sun.
His influences range from Bach to Chick Corea Stevie Wonder, Herbie Hancock and Jascha Heifetz, to name a few.
